CHALLENGE

Mezlan, a premier men’s shoe designer, focuses their products around personal touch, high quality impressive designs. Their goal was to create a unique customer experience whether in store or online. Guidance worked closely with the Mezlan team to understand the actual in store purchase process for their customers in an effort to replicate a similar experience online. Guidance performed an initial code audit that uncovered several issues around their template files, SQL, and performance issues associated with the existing code. Guidance immediately tackled the issues with the code as it was causing problems in the overall user experience. In addition, a strategic audit was conducted that revealed opportunities to reach new customers via digital marketing channels the Company was not utilizing.

SOLUTION

Guidance moved Mezlan from American Eagle to the Magento 1.14 Enterprise Edition platform. Previously, Mezlan’s online presence had been lacking, but this redesign will allow them to market the site much more effectively to its existing customers as well as acquire new customers in an effort to accelerate growth and category visibility. New digital marketing programs were implemented to drive additional traffic to the web site, acquire new customers, and enhance brand awareness.

In addition to the successful launch of the main Mezlan site, Guidance will also launch their second site which is a “discount” version of www.mezlan.com.
