Market research resource, eMarketer, estimates a one-year increase of $1 billion in US retail eCommerce holiday season sales, excluding online travel, event ticket and digital download sales.

The 3.3-percent increase would take eCommerce holiday sales to $29.4 billion this season, from last year’s $28.4 billion. eMarketer’s numbers are based on November and December online retail sales.

The study was released in October 2009.
