This week's Featured Employee is Wanda, one of our Project Coordinators. Serving as proof that Guidance employees enjoy a healthy work/life balance, Wanda is also an accomplished indie author, having published her first novel Sometimes That Happens With Chicken earlier this year. We asked Wanda to answer a few questions for us, here's what she said:
What’s your title?
How long have you been at Guidance?
Tell us about your hometown.
I grew up in Johnsburg, NY, a town of 2400 nestled in the Adirondack mountains with a populations density of 12 people per square mile. Just to put that in perspective, Los Angeles has a population density of 7877 people per square mile.
What city do you currently live in?
How did you decide on this career?
It was more like this career found me.
What was the oddest job you ever held?
I worked for a summer in a garnet mine. I had to wear steel toed boots and hard hat.
What do you like most about working at Guidance?
My favorite thing about Guidance is the people. I work with a lot of talented and interesting people who keep me laughing.
What are you currently working on?
The project I work on has an aggressive release life cycle and we’re finalizing our last release before holiday code freeze.
