This week's Featured Employee is Rachele, our most recent hire! Rachele has been with us for a whole week, so we thought we would feature her today to officially welcome her to the team and introduce her to our readers. We asked Rachele to answer a few questions for us, check them out:
What’s your title?
How long have you been at Guidance?
Tell us about your hometown.
I’m a Southern California girl. Woohoo! I grew up near San Berdoo (San Bernardino, for those not local), went to school in the O.C., and have lived on the Westside, in the South Bay and in Long Beach. I’m really at home by the beach.
What city do you currently live in?
How did you decide on this career?
I was an advertising major in college, back in the 1990s. One of my last electives was this *brand*new*class* called Interactive Multimedia, where we learned how to create HTML pages. I was hooked from there.
What was the oddest job you ever held?
I had many jobs at the Renaissance Faire in my teens and twenties. I wore costumes from the 1500s, created and sold hats & flower garlands, and I even made and sold Turkish Coffee & Chai. I also sold jewelry, trinkets and swords. I managed a hat booth and a garland booth as well. One year, I even ended up on the operations side of things, complete with a walkie-talkie. I loved working at the Faire.
What do you like most about working at Guidance?
The people here are very nice and super helpful. I have had many folks, even people I don’t work with directly, come up and say they’d help me with anything I needed. That’s super cool.
What are you currently working on?
I’m working with client Gearys on their upgrade discovery phase and on another client's European website.
