This week's Featured Employee is Debbie, our Assistant Office Manager & Marketing Assistant. She's been a member of the Guidance team for almost two years. We asked Debbie to answer a few questions for us, check them out:
What’s your title?
Good question as I do a bit of everything, but I am the Assistant Office Manager and the Marketing Assistant
How long have you been at Guidance?
Time goes by when you are having a good time and hard to believe that it will be two years this September!
Tell us about your hometown.
I was raised in the lovely college town of Claremont, California. It is located about 1 hour east of Marina del Rey and sits just below beautiful Mount Baldy. Downtown Claremont, or “The Village”, is a great area to visit. It is inspired by the local college students and local artists. My sister and her family continues to live in Claremont, so I am able to visit my hometown often.
What city do you currently live in?
We have a home in Playa del Rey and have lived there for almost four years. We love living near the beach and watching the planes take off from very nearby LAX!
How did you decide on this career?
I graduated with a degree in Business Communications and worked in sales for NCR. Later, I enjoyed staying home and raising my two daughters. When we moved to Playa del Rey, I wanted to work part-time in a creative environment. I was very fortunate to find Guidance.
What was the oddest job you ever held?
I worked for a photographer for many years and would meet some very interesting and yes, odd people. It was fun to meet new clients every day!
What do you like most about working at Guidance?
The top of the list is all of the people at Guidance. They are the most respectful, intelligent, funny group I have ever worked for. I also enjoy our Friday “Celebrate Success” gatherings. It gives everyone a chance to just enjoy each other.
