With the introduction of a branded espresso machine, the oldest and largest privately-held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the United States wanted a well branded eCommerce site that supported the messaging of the new product – attractive and easy-to-use. A hard launch date had to be met to support espresso pod reorders, which would only be available through the new online channel.

Guidance developed the site on the MediaChase, now EPiServer Commerce, platform to provide custom reporting, custom ratings and reviews, store locator, and to create custom promotions and coupons, meeting the requirement to produce 100,000 coupon codes at launch.
Guidance integrated the site with their inventory management software, the U.S. Postal Service (shipping rates and address validation), Worldship (fulfillment), Monetra (credit/gift card processing), Microsoft CRM (warranty registration) and utilized Microsoft SQL Server for database management.
- Users are able to simultaneously order multiple products directly from the category page.
- Users are able to subscribe to “CBTL Premium Club” to place monthly recurring orders. Subscribers have the option to change, put on hold or cancel their order at any time.
- Merchandising is automated with the embedding of upsell product visuals and details in the shopping cart.
