Senior ASP.NET Developer

In this role you will be responsible for analysis, functional and user-interface design and development, application graphic creation, code development, testing, documentation, and implementation of new products or enhancements to existing products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Managers, Lead Developers, and end users to understand requirements and create product designs that meet or exceed the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure that our applications follow proscribed coding standards and methodologies.
  • Understand and adhere to configuration change control procedures and standards.
  • Perform unit testing. Analyze and resolve both errors in syntax as well as logical errors. Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Projects will include new development, maintenance and enhancements to existing products, database integration and strategy planning.

Experience/Skills Required

  • 5+ years .NET 2.0 Framework, ASP.NET 2.0+, C#, web services, ADO.NET, and other related .NET technologies. (AspDotNetStorefront a big plus.)
  • 1+ yrs developing eCommerce sites.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional custom development experience with n-tier architectural patterns and practices.
  • MS-SQL Server 2000 and above (including creating/managing tables, authoring stored procedures, triggers, indexes and table relationships.)
  • Full project life cycle experience-SDLC, Agile or any other variant.
  • Build management skills, including standardized build process, continuous integration, cruise control.net, MS Build, and NANT.
  • Proven experience in structured development methodologies, product roll-out, and change control.
  • Ability to clearly document all projects and manage bug reports.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • ASP.NET 3.5, Javascript frameworks, and Jquery scriptaculous a plus.
  • Preferred experience with: Community Server 2007, MS Commerce Server, SharePoint/MOSS, AJAX, and/or social networking applications.

Education

  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems preferred.
  • MCSD/MCAD is a big plus.
