The Project Manager at Guidance Solutions is a high-profile, senior position in the organization and is responsible for successful delivery of all design and technical aspects of eCommerce and web development software implementations. The successful Project Manager at Guidance will be a combination project manager, product manager, and relationship manager. Guidance Project Managers will be proficient at defining and managing large project work plans, tightly managing scope and deliverables, owning project budgets and profitability, as well as managing local, remote and sometimes offshore design, technical, and client teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all creative/design and technical/development aspects of projects; frequently asked to manage at least two projects concurrently
  • Provide project leadership to design and technical teams
  • Regular (daily) interface and communication with client project team
  • Lead requirements gathering and business process analysis through effective communication with creative/design, technology, and business stakeholders
  • Develop and manage requirements and process flows throughout the entire life cycle of the project
  • Tightly manage and control the project scope, schedule/timeline, budget and profitability, shared-resource allocation, issues and risks, and overall progress
  • Regular status reporting and presentations to senior management, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Create and maintain business and technical documentation. Documentation will include, but is not limited to, project plans, Use Cases, Application Business Process Flows, Page Specifications, ERD's, QA plans and test scripts, and application architecture diagrams
Experience/Skills --

Must have 8 to 10 years prior experience with the following:
  • Full project ownership and accountability with a demonstrable track record of successful results
  • Leading teams of creative/design resources and software/Web developers
  • Managing custom web development projects
  • Deploying software package implementations
  • Managing executive-level clients
  • Facilitating creative / design requirements sessions with clients
  • Facilitating technical / business requirements sessions with clients
  • Active involvement in pre-sales meetings and proposal development
It would be highly-desirable if you have the following experience:
  • The Project Manager should preferably come from a Big 5 consulting firm with extensive experience managing the successful delivery of web-based applications
  • Work experience in multiple vertical industries
  • Working with content management systems
  • Building applications for eCommerce, social networking, workflow and document management, entertainment industry
  • Agile project management methodology
Education
  • Bachelor's degree is required; PMI certification a plus
