This week's Featured Employee is Sheetal, who's a .NET Tech Lead/Architect as well as Project Manager. Sheetal just recently came back from maternity leave, and boy, did we miss her while she was out! We asked Sheetal to answer a few questions for us, check them out:

How long have you been at Guidance?
Almost 3 years

Tell us about your hometown.
My hometown is Pune (pronounced “Poo-neigh”), India. It is known for being a hub for education and is quickly turning into the newest IT hot spot. It is located about 200Kms from Mumbai.

What city do you currently live in?
I currently live in Redondo Beach,CA.

How did you decide on this career?
I got into software by accident. I wanted to join the Indian Administrative Services (Civil Services) and was preparing for the exam. The process to get into Civil Services takes about 2 years (2 exams and a series of interviews). While preparing for the exam I got called for an interview with a Web development company that was owned by one of my cousin’s friends. I reluctantly went for the interview and clearly told them about my plans. I failed the exam and … never went on to spend another 2 years trying for it. The rest is history.

What was the oddest job you ever held?
Never had any odd job :)

What do you like most about working at Guidance?
The people, the location, flexible working arrangement and Guidance Green.
