City Chic makes its U.S. debut

They come from the land down under. And today they’ve officially entered the U.S. fashion market. Introducing City Chic – an Australian plus-size fashion brand that’s ready to take the U.S. plus-size market by storm!

Earlier this year, City Chic’s management contacted Guidance to discuss their expansion plans and market entrance strategy. First item on their list was the creation of a new Web site that would cater exclusively to the U.S. audience. And that’s none other than www.citychiconline.com, launched today by Guidance.

Guidance chose Magento Enterprise 1.9 as the eCommerce platform to build the site on. The platform was customized extensively to fit City Chic’s requirements, and integrated with Notions Marketing, City Chic’s fulfillment company. The site features product configurators, cross-selling modules (YMALs), Facebook integration, ratings & reviews, product tagging, shopping cart preview overlay, and single-page checkout, among others. It also properly routes visitors based on IP location – Australian and New Zealand visitors are automatically sent to www.citychic.com.au, while all other visitors stay on www.citychiconline.com.

In addition to technical design and development services, Guidance is also providing hosting and managed services, as well as eMarketing services and site maintenance for CityChicOnline.com.
